Having been born in Nigeria, Mr. Edward Osuigwe and his oldest sister migrated to the United States at a young age to reunite with their parents. His late mother, a former primary school teacher back in their homeland of Nigeria, instilled in her children the importance of education at a young age.
In terms of higher education, Mr. Osuigwe is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in Medicine at the University of Lynchburg in Virginia. He matriculated at Middle Tennessee State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in pre-medicine. Afterward, he obtained his Master’s degree at a private Christian institution, Trevecca Nazarene University, in Nashville, TN. He is a board-certified physician assistant with twenty years of combined experience in the fields of orthopedics, neurosurgery, and psychiatry (physical medicine and rehabilitation). He is fluent in two languages, English and his native tongue Igbo. He also speaks Spanish un poco (a little). He is a proud father of two teenage boys.
Mr. Osuigwe is a bestselling author. His book entitled “Till Death Do Us Part…45 secrets to a lasting marriage from those living it” was published in 2022. The book was dedicated to his late mother who passed away in 2008.
Mr. Osuigwe is an avid sports fan, especially the NBA. The late Kobe Bryant was his basketball idol. In addition, he enjoys playing basketball, table tennis, drawing, weight/cardio training, playing video games, listening to Afrobeat, and spending time with family and friends in his spare time.
As it relates to his career in medicine, his approach to patient care is, “Always to treat every patient with the same dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, religious affiliation or socioeconomic status.”

Dr. Isaac is an interventional physiatrist and rehabilitation specialist. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of non-surgical spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. His focus is on the benefits of physical rehabilitation and its ability to heal the patient without the need for surgery.
Dr. Isaac received his medical training from the University of Alexandria, Egypt and completed his residency in PM&R at Nassau University Medical Center, New York. He completed a prestigious fellowship at the Penn Spine Center of the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified with the American Academy of physical medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) with board certification subspecialty in Pain Medicine. He is specifically trained in the areas of electromyography, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic spinal injections. He has authored many articles in professional journals, several book chapters and has presented at numerous medical conferences and meetings.
His excellent training and advanced study has also allowed him to participate in many previous and ongoing research studies.
Dr. Isaac is a member of several national academies and associations, including;
North American Spine Society, Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupation Rehabilitation, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation etc.
Dr. Isaac enjoys swimming and soccer. He lives in Brentwood, TN and he is happily married with two daughters.

Chiamaka Theclar Umah- is a Medical Doctor with over 15 years of experience in clinical medicine, Public Health, Infection Prevention, and Control. I am completing a Pathology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
Chiamaka is an alumnus of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. She is Certified in Infection control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) in the United States.
She is a registered member of the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP), the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, (APIC).
Chiamaka has participated and held various positions in her Professional career at UAB:

Dr. Marie Patterson has been a physician assistant for 20 years. She has clinical experience in emergency medicine, occupational medicine, urgent care, and primary care. She has been in PA education since 2017. She was a founding faculty member at the Lipscomb University PA Program where she also served as the Admissions Director. She has been at Middle Tennessee State University since April of 2020 where she helped lead the new PA program through initial accreditation. She was appointed by the Governor of TN to the Committee on Physician Assistants where she served for 2 years. She was also elected to be the first ever chair of the first ever Board on Physician Assistants in the state of Tennessee. She is actively involved in her state PA academy and has served in various board position including Secretary and Vice President and she is the current President of the Tennessee Academy. She enjoys advocating for the PA profession and she is passionate about increasing access to care for all patients. She is from Murfreesboro, TN where she currently lives with her loving husband of 22 years and their 8 children. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, working with her church, traveling, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.

Dr Jeffrey T. Litchford holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology. He served 14 years in the United States Air Force, taught Combat Medicine and Wartime Psychiatry at the School of Healthcare Sciences USAF. He served as the Director of Psychiatric Rehabilitation for a Regional Mental Health Center in Tn. He entered private practice and established Life Management Services a community Social Service and Mental Health agency. He served as the Director of a Certified Academic Institution of The National Christian Counselors Association training and qualifying counselors. He also served as a Behavioral Consultant, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Fellow with the National Board of Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP Master Practitioner until his retirement in 2019.
His greatest accomplishments in life are becoming a husband, father and grandfather. In his work, the chief satisfaction has been relieving individual emotional pain and suffering. His focus has been on optimizing individual potential. “We truly become what we think about “.

Victor Ukwu, MD is a distinguished professional whose life life’s work exemplifies the core values that the Urban League of Hudson County holds dear: education, mentorship and economic development. A board-certified family medicine physician Dr.Ukwu graduated from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine, an HBCU in Nashville, Tennessee, He completed his family medicine residency there as well. His management skill was evident early on as he served in leadership roles during his time in medical school and residency, including as House Staff Resident
Dr. Ukwu achievements extend well beyond the realm of medicine. He has been an active community servant, speaking at platform such as the Tennessee Justice Center’s, Student Ambassador Summit, Preston Taylor Ministries’ career fair, and the 2020 KYB Leadership Academy Full STEAM Ahead Conference. Dr. Ukwu is a former member of the Nashville branch of the NAACP and a proud member of The Mighty Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Dr Ukwu currently serves as the Medical Director of Occupational Health and Wellness at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. In this role, he provides clinical expertise focus on advancing employee well-being and corporate healthcare services. He is deeply committed to improving health equity and has special interest in men’s wellness initiatives.
Dr. Ukwu is a visionary committed to community building and healthcare equity.

Chief Ignatius E. Osuigwe was born and raised in the township of Umudioka-Ukwu in Imo State, Nigeria. During his four years in high school, his areas of emphasis were business management, economics, finance, bookkeeping, and typing. After high school, he moved to Port Harcourt, Nigeria where he secured a job in the accounting department at the Bulk Oil Plant Nigeria Ltd. Few years later, he was promoted to senior account officer. After marriage and having his first two children, he decided to travel abroad to further his education in hopes of securing a better future for his wife and children. He migrated to Seville, Spain where he enrolled in a two year college and earned his associate degree in management. Following that accomplishment, he was given the opportunity to come the United States were he matriculated at Middle Tennessee State University. He obtained his bachelor of business degree in accounting and information system. He followed this up by earning his master’s degree in economics and finance in 1987. He then began his doctorate degree in economics but had to sacrifice that dream in order to provide for his growing family. Chief Osuigwe recently retired after working nearly thirty years at the world’s top tire manufacturing company, Bridgestone. He is a father of six children and grandfather of eight. His hobbies include spending time with his children and grandchildren, seasonal tax preparation, and being an active member of the Nashville Nigerian community.

Fitzgerald Umah is a Consulting Architect with over 20 years experience in the Building Construction Industry, specifically in Architecture, Project Management and Construction. In addition to having a postgraduate Diploma in Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Fitzgerald is an Architecture alumnus of Yaba College Technology and holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Prestigious University of Lagos, where he graduated as one of the best students in his class and won the University Graduate Assistantship Award in 2005. He also holds a Master’s in Project Management from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, USA. He was nominated as the graduate speaker for the College of Engineering at the Graduation ceremony in spring 2023. Having done his NYSC in Kaduna State, he won the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) State Honour’s Award for a Self-made project on Earth technology in 1998. He is a registered member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria, a member of The Nigerian Institute of Architects, and Past Chairman of the NIA Lagos State Chapter (A post he served for 2 terms). Fitzgerald is a Chartered Member of The Royal Institute of British Architects, an American Institute of Architects International Associate and Director of the Mentorship Project Management Institute, Alaska Chapter. Among other affiliations and memberships, Fitzgerald has participated in and held various positions in his professional career and social life, some of which include: • Member, The Nigerian Institute of Architects • Member Associate, American Institute of Architects. • Member, Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition As Chair of the Library and Publication Committee of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, he led the team that published the First Book of Architecture of The Nigerian Institute of Architects and also registered and published ARCHITECTURE NIGERIA (ISSN): 2735 – 9670, The Magazine of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. Theddeus. E. Osuigwe is a citizen of Nigeria. He was born and raised in Umudiokaukwu in Orlu, Nigeria. He attended Bishop Shanaham Secondary School in Orlu. After his high school graduation, he elected not to further in his education in order to enter the marketplace. He decided to go into business. He enrolled at the Motor Parts Institute where he was certified as spare motor dealer. He opened his spare part shop at Owerri. Few years later, he changed careers and entered the real estate business primarily in building restoration projects. He spent the last several years in building material distribution and has supervised many building projects locally.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He has four children. He enjoys watching soccer and attending local sporting events.

Francess Unogu was born in Nigeria. She migrated to America with her younger brother in 1983. After graduating from Oakland High School, she attended Tennessee state university, earning her degree in Health Information Management. After working at Vanderbilt hospital for four years, she decided to pursue a second degree in nursing from Austin Peay University.
After a brief stint in the nursing field, Mrs Unogu elected to become a stay at home mother to address the daily needs of her autistic son.
She enjoys her spare time caring for her husband and three sons. She also enjoys cooking and listening to music.

MaryJo earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. During her career, MaryJo has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities and Home Health Care Homes. After a few years of working as a RN, MaryJo went on to specialize in labor and delivery. Her passion for maternal and neonatal health played a crucial role in supporting expectant mothers and their families during one of the most significant moments of their lives. While working as an OB nurse, MaryJo has expanded her experience into psychiatric nursing in the last 7 years, indicating her desire to address mental health issues and support patients facing psychological challenges.
Residing in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, she shares her home with her husband, two children, and their beloved pet cat, Autumn. In her free time, MaryJo enjoys a variety of activities, including traveling, cooking, gardening, and cherishing moments with family and friends

Cindy Taiwo was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN to parents of Nigerian descent. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing degree from University of Memphis in 2008. Her first RN position was held in a civilian hospital on the island of Guam in the area of emergency care. Since then, she has worked in several areas of nursing including care management, rehabilitation, and medical/surgical nursing, which is her primary specialty. She currently works as a staff charges nurse/ preceptor in Nashville’s first and only community hospital. In 2020, she became a Daisy Award recipient, a special honor given to nurses who made a difference in the life of patient, family, or colleague. Her passion for nursing continues to drive her to provide the best possible care to her patients. She attributes all her success to God. Cindy currently resides in Smyrna, TN. She enjoys spending time with her partner, family and friends, traveling and watching her two sons play basketball.
